Blue Ocean Explorer (“we”, “us”) provides AI-powered market intelligence. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: team workspace slug and cryptographically-hashed access tokens used to authenticate your team session.
  • Exploration data: industries you analyze and the resulting reports, stored so you can revisit them.
  • Billing data: subscription status and Stripe customer IDs. We do not store card numbers — Stripe does.
  • API keys you provide: if you use the BYOK (bring-your-own-key) model, your keys are stored encrypted and used only to run your explorations.
  • Analytics: only with your consent via the cookie banner — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

3. How we use your data

  • To run explorations and return results to you.
  • To bill you and manage your subscription.
  • To improve the product — aggregate, anonymized usage patterns only.
  • To communicate about the service (transactional email).

4. Third parties

We share data only with providers that make the product work: Stripe (billing), Neon (database), Anthropic and other AI providers (inference on your prompts), and our data sources (Google Trends, USPTO, World Bank, etc.).

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and require your consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time by clearing cookie-consent in local storage.

6. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data by contacting hello@blueoceanexplorer.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
